X-Men Apocalypse teaser shown post credits of Days of Future Past

The rumors are true.

Many speculated and rumors circulated that, post credits of X-Men: Days of Future Past, there would be a teaser for the next movie in the film franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Apparently some internet rumors do come to fruition. Courtesy of Unleash the Fanboy, here is some taped footage of the teaser shown at the end of the just-released film. You should probably avoid watching the clip if you want to see Days of Future Past for yourself and get the full effect. Of course, just the news that the teaser is out there is excitement enough for me.

The X-Men franchise has always been the best superhero franchise around. As a kid, reading comics and watching cartoons, nothing came close to the X-Men. Wolverine was always the coolest, obviously. But the breadth and variety of the heroes in the X-Men universe is unparalleled in any other world.

Although I have yet to see the newest movie personally, the sentinels are very familiar to me, as is next movie’s super villain, Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse is already scheduled, to be released May 27, 2016. Bryan Singer is directing and many, if not all of the X-Men cast will be around again.

Two years may seem like a long time between films of a franchise, especially with the way Spiderman is veering, but that is roughly par for the course for X-Men. The first movie came out back in 2000. The next few came out in three-year increments, with the pace picking up to two years between films more recently.
