The Blackhawks and Kings game on Saturday night was a homecoming for Los Angeles as the Kings were back in the Staples Center hot off a big Game 2 blowout win that evened the series 1-1. But what’s a game in Los Angeles without the flash and flare of Hollywood as Lakers and Clippers are dominated by famous folks sitting court side and a celebrity is the owner of the hometown Dodgers.
Naturally, to boost the L.A. crowd, a familiar Los Angeles face showed up to help us with the National Anthem as Guns n’ Roses guitarist Slash performed the most unique version of the anthem we’ve heard all postseason long.

Did we mention is was totally awesome too?
Slash performing the National Anthem will be the highlight of the night for one of these teams as someone is going to get thrown into a 2-1 hole as a result of the outcome. So dar, the teams have look evenly matched in their first two games, as the Blackhawks dominated in Game 1 while the Kings had the best period of hockey we’ve seen in the playoffs thus far.
The Kings are hoping that Slash will give them a boost, but the most realistic thing to rely on is the netminding of Jonathan Quick as he appears to be getting back to the glorious and unstoppable level he was on in 2011 when the Kings captured the Cup and Quick singlehandedly put L.A. back on the hockey map.
