Draft workouts across different sports can be misleading. Sometimes players shine in that setting in a manner that does not necessarily indicate how they will perform in game action.
That said, sometimes the feats in these workouts are too impressive to ignore. Such might be the case with this windmill dunk thrown down by UCLA draft prospect Zach LaVine.
Known by some as the ‘Greek Freak 2,’ the 6’6″ 181 pound LaVine averaged 9.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game last season. Rangy and athletic, he is the kind of draft prospect that makes teams drool at his athleticism but perhaps hesitant at the project of developing him.
Teams are also uncertain about LaVine’s prospects in the NBA as far as what position he will play. Likely a shooting guard, LaVine can certainly help a team if he is put in the right situation with his ability to leap and get to the rim as he did in the video below.
