Astros prospect Conrad Gregor hits first home run, his dad catches it (Video)

On Saturday Astros prospect Conrad Gregor hit his first home run of the year for the Quad Cities River Bandits of the Midwest League, and wouldn’t you know it, his own dad Marty was the guy who caught the ball out beyond the right field fence.
That was some amazing positioning by Marty.
Conrad’s folks came in to Davenport over Memorial Day weekend just to watch the lad play. He did not disappoint the family, slugging that three run homer to put Quad Cities ahead in their game against Cedar Rapids. Quad Cities would go on to win 5-2.
Conrad Gregor was incredibly excited about his dad catching his first home run ball of the season. “It’s a little unbelievable, but I’m glad my parents were here to see it,” Gregor told the Quad City Times (via MiLB.com, “And when I got back to the dugout, I heard he made a pretty good catch.”
Gregor says maybe his father should watch every game from right field from now on. Well, if your father is a home run magnet, then I’d say you definitely station him in the stands out beyond the outfield fence. Putting him in foul territory wouldn’t do you any good.
Just set pops up with a couple brews and start pounding balls out of the yard.
