Memorial Day is a time to celebrate the sacrifices made by those who have served in America’s armed forces, and the Atlanta Braves are doing their part to help keep that thought going with a slight uniform change.

More from Atlanta Braves

The team unveiled some specially designed caps that will be worn on Monday’s series opener with the Boston Red Sox, and they look great.

Many teams use special uniforms and/or caps to celebrate various holidays, and to be frank, some of them are just horrible looking. This Braves cap maintains some semblance of the traditional look, while still paying tribute to the military without being gaudy.

The modern digital camouflage look keeps a modern feel to the cap, and the red brim pops in contrast, along with the script Atlanta “A”, a very well-designed look and fitting way to honor those who have served our country.

The Braves will welcome the struggling Red Sox to Turner Field for a 1:10 pm first pitch, and the team will be collecting donations for the Military Care Package Collection Drive.
