Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his wife Janay addressed the media. During the press conference Rice apologized for his actions in the alleged altercation between the two in an Atlantic City casino. TMZ eventually released a video of Rice dragging his seemingly unconscious then fiancée out of an elevator.

“I want to first off apologize to Steve Bisciotti, Ozzie Newsome and Coach Harbaugh. I also want to apologize to my fans, to the kids, to everyone that is affected by this situation that me and my wife are in,” Rice said, via the team’s website.

“One thing that I can say is that sometimes in life you will fail,” Rice added. “Me and Janay wish we could take back 30 seconds of our life.”

Now the only thing left to be determined is what course of action NFL commissioner Roger Goodell takes. Rice is set to meet with Goodell to discuss the incident soon.

The Baltimore Ravnes are bracing for “a potential multiple-game suspension” according to the Baltimore Sun.

“There’s a punishment for everything,” said wide receiver Torrey Smith. “Whatever it is, we’ll deal with it and handle it as a team. We’ll have to deal with the loss. I’m sure there will be some kind of loss.

“You do something that draws attention like this, it deserves punishment. Whatever it may be, whether it’s fines or suspensions, I can’t really say. Something happens like that and, obviously, it doesn’t look good on him on him or the league or the organization. Whatever punishments they dish out, he’ll handle it and we’ll handle it as a team and we’ll accept it.”
