Former Tennessee Volunteers’ Jarnell Stokes has been projected by most pundits as a second round pick.

More from Miami Heat

However, as of late, Stokes has been connected with several teams picking in the bottom of the first round and with a few good workouts, he could turn himself into a solid first round prospect. He’s going to have plenty of chances to do just that.

According to Zach Links of Hoops Rumors, Stokes will be working out for at least 11 teams.

Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports that two of those teams will be the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers. He will be in Miami Thursday and in Philadelphia Sunday (former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Rodney Hood will also be working out for 76ers on Sunday).

Stokes, who measured in at 6’8.5 and 263 pounds with a wingspan of 7’1.25 at the NBA Scouting Combine. Stokes, a junior during the 2013-2014 season, averaged 15.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for the Volunteers.  He really came on during the NCAA Tournament where he led the Volunteers to victories over the Iowa Hawkeyes, Massachusetts Minutemen and Mercer Bears, scoring 18, 26 and 17 points, before bowing out to the Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet 16.

Draft Express ranks Stokes as the 41st-best prospect in the 2014 NBA Draft.
