Play Super Smash Bros at Best Buy in June
UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed that Super Smash Bros. will receive a playable Wii U demo at over 100 stores across the United States. Fans can find out what stores will have the demo by visiting Best Buy’s website.
From Nintendo:
"On June 11 from 4 to 9 p.m. and June 14 from 12 to 5 p.m. local time, more than 100 Best Buy stores around the U.S. will host “Super Smash Bros. Smash-Fest @ Best Buy,” an event that features the same demo version of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that people will get to play at the E3 2014 video game trade show in Los Angeles."
ORIGINAL: Fans won’t have to wait long to get their first taste of the new Super Smash Bros. on Wii U in person. A look at the Best Buy website shows that, in June, playable in-store demos will be available at select store locations.

The link on the website to find out which stores will have the demo is broken, but the title of the link states that the game will be playable in stores on Wednesday June 11 and Saturday June 14. There is no word regarding which locations nor how many of them will actually receive a demo of the game. FanSided has reached out to Nintendo and Best Buy for comment on the matter, and will update this post should either of the company’s send a return statement.

Mike’s Musings: While it likely won’t happen, I really hope that one of my local stores in Buffalo receives the demo. This is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and I can’t wait to get a taste of the hard-hitting action that Super Smash Bros. always presents to me. Heck, if a location is close enough, I may even have to make a trip to get my hands on this game, even if it is only for a very, very short period of time.
