Real Madrid's 'La Decima' anthem tops Spanish music charts

Real Madrid celebrated “La Decima”, their tenth European title, in style. The club hosted a party for the fans at Santiago Bernabeu, where the team also presented their special anthem to mark the historic occasion. The song titled “Hala Madrid…y nada mas” has rocketed up the Spanish music charts to the very top spot, leaving the likes of Pharrell Williams and Shakira in the rear view mirror.

If you have not heard the song, perhaps the best way to be introduced to it is to hear the Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti trying to do the song justice, as he lead the way during the celebrations. Check the Italian manager giving his best effort below:

Naturally, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and other Real Madrid superstars joined in and sang the song together with their manager.

You can watch a higher quality video of the song here, which includes historic shots of past Madrid teams as well as a lot of memorable highlights from the team’s 2013-14 campaign. The team also collectively got into the studio to record the song and it ended up as a pretty epic anthem.

The Champions League trophy was the second title of the season for Real, who were able to lift the Copa del Rey cup earlier this season by beating FC Barcelona in the final.

The last time Real had won the Champions League title prior to this year was in 2001-02, when the team was led by the likes of Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Raul Gonzalez, and managed to beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
