The Miami police department have concluded their investigation with the “suspicious incident” involving San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick. There was an incident that alleged a woman would not leave a Miami apartment in which Kaepernick had once been present, along with Niners teammate receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette.

“Our investigation has been presented to our (Miami-Dade) State Attorney’s Office and we await their decision whether to prosecute or not,” Miami Chief of Police Manuel Orosa told CSNBayArea.com on Wednesday.

“We have been working with the police in regards to the incident almost from the beginning,” said Ed Griffith of the State Attorney’s Office.

So basically it is a waiting game now for Kaepernick, Patton and Lockette. Kapernick has been confident from the beginning about the situation, and when the 911 calls, made by the players and not the woman, were released, Kaepernick tweeted “glad the truth is getting out.”

After the announcement that the police had concluded their investigation, Kaepernick once again was confident in the comments he made.

“Well, the District Attorney has the information today,” Kaepernick said, via Pro Football Talk. “At this point, I’m going to let them handle their business. I did nothing wrong in that incident. So, I want to do everything I can to let the DA close this matter.”

49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was also confident everything would come to a good resolution, and Kaepernick hasn’t been charged with a crime yet.
