Star linebacker Sean Lee went down during a practice session grabbing his knee and he was diagnosed with a torn ACL.
While there is an outside chance Lee could return at the end of the season, the most likely scenario will land Lee on the injured reserve list and watch his season come to a premature end.
That doesn’t mean that we won’t see the No. 50 out on the field, however.
Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant said on Wednesday that he plans to honor Sean Lee throughout the season by wearing the No. 50 somewhere on his uniform.
Dallas beat writer Clarence Hill passed along the news.
Usually you honor players or figures who are no longer with us, but Lee is such a big part of the Cowboys that Bryant must believe having the No. 50 out on the field with the rest of the team will make a big impact.
We will just have to wait and see.
