ESPN poll doesn't give Blackhawks chance in NHL playoffs (photo)

ESPN is not impressed with the performance from the Chicago Blackhawks in last night’s Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. It took double-overtime, but the Hawks prevailed by a score of 5-4 to extend the series and hold off elimination for the time being.

If you go by an ESPN SportsNation poll, “for the time being” is the key phrase here as the Los Angeles Kings are sure to win this series and advance to the Stanley Cup finals. It’s just a question of when.

Here was the poll posted before yesterday’s game, asking hockey fans to chime in on “who” they thought would win the series and how many games it would take.

Most fans believed that the Kings would be able to win in six games, so we will have to wait and see to see whether or not that proves to be true when the two teams face off Friday night at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Game 6 will begin when the puck drops at 9 p.m. ET with live coverage available on NBCSN and online or on your mobile device with the NBC Sports Live Extra app.

Who do you think will come away with the win? Sound off in the comments section below.
