After suffering what many believed to be a career ending injury in 2013, former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is back.

More from Green Bay Packers

A Pro Bowl talent, Finley attempted to sign with the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the offseason but failed his physical. That lead to more testing and conversations with the Green Bay Packers, but those were kept realitvely quiet and few know what, if anything went on regarding those talks.

What we do know though is Finley will be visiting a mystery team on Friday, this according to his agent, via Pro Football Talk.

"Finley still has to be cleared medically by the doctors employed by a team interested in signing him.  Baratz said Finley will be making a team visit on Friday; Baratz declined to name the team, citing a request made by the organization for silence.  (Hello, Patriots.)"

The New England Patriots have expressed a desire to sign a tight end as they’ve worked out fellow free agent Dustin Keller twice in recent months, though have for whatever reason opted not to sign the former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins talent.

As for Finley, after a moment where he seemed unsure of his future, he has continually stated that he wanted to return to the football field. Of course, saying you want to and actually doing so are two completely different things, but so far it looks like Finley is attempting to follow through on his words.

We certainly wish him the best and hope he continues to be the Pro Bowl talent that he was with the Packers.
