Paul George says Vince Carter blew in his ear once to be friendly

One of the most talked about aspects of last night’s Game 5 win for the Indiana Pacers isn’t that they beat the Heat and extended a series we all thought was over, it’s that Lance Stephenson blew in LeBron James’ ear to literally get inside his head.
Paul George is sticking up for his teammate though, trying to remind us all of how offensively savvy Stephenson is and that blowing in another dude’s ear isn’t as weird as it sounds. In fact, George himself admitted that he’s been on the receiving end of an ear blow thanks to Vince Carter.
It’s cool though, because it was ‘friendly’.

It’s hard to imagine this not being a crime against humanity to some had J.R. Smith done this, as it seems straight out of his book of shenanigans. In fact, we’ve been seeing a lot of vintage tomfoolery in the NBA this year with action away from the ball bordering on childish behavior to try and throw a guy off his game.
The ear blowing incident isn’t really that big of a deal at the end of the day and judging from George’s story it sounds like it’s as common as a love tap before and after games. Still, there will be an emphasis in Game 6 of no ear blowing and while there’s nothing wrong with a little ear blowing action, it’s probably for the best if we held our breath until Game 7, should it happen.
