On Friday night, the Los Angeles Kings will host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. A win sends Los Angeles to the Stanley Cup Finals where they would face the New York Rangers, while Chicago needs a win to stay alive and force a Game 7.
For the Blackhawks, it will all come down to staying composed and keeping their focus on repeating as Stanley Cup champions.
“We have our backs against the wall here and face elimination, but we’re staying relaxed,” said Chicago forward Brandon Saad.
“We’ve been through it before, and it definitely helps. We’ve had success on the road before, and L.A. is definitely tough, but we’re not going to let that end the season. We can’t make any excuses whether we’re playing at home or away.”
Whether or not the Blackhawks can successfully force a Game 7 remains to be seen, but we can undoubtedly expect a thrilling 60 minutes of action from both sides.
