Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers and Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks are the finalists to be on the cover of Madden NFL 15.

More from Carolina Panthers

Newton advanced to the finals after receiving 55 percent of the vote over Andrew Luck in the semifinals. He previously beat Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs and Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the earlier rounds.

The Seahawks outspoken All-Pro cornerback advanced to the finals after receiving 65 percent of the vote in his semifinal matchup vs. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. He previously beat Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints and Alshon Jeffery of the Chicago Bears in the opening rounds.

It’s no question Sherman is the better player at this point in their respective careers as a two-time All-Pro who led the NFL with eight interceptions in 2013 that saw him be an integral part of the Seahawks run to winning the Super Bowl.

However, his outspoken personality may come back to bite him in the finals against Newton who has 64 touchdown passes since he entered the league as the No. 1 pick out of Auburn after guiding the Tigers to the BCS National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy. He is the 2011 AP Rookie of the Year and a two-time Pro Bowl selection.

The game will be released August 26th and you can pre-order the game here.
