Dallas Cowboys sign Anthony Hitchens, who will likely Sean Lee
By Josh Sanchez
The Dallas Cowboys got some bad news early in OTAs when it was learned that starting inside linebacker Sean Lee would be lost for the season thanks to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Outside of Lee, the team has very few options and that has left them with rookie Anthony Hitchens.
Hitches was the Cowboys fourth-round draft pick out of Iowa in early May, and he could soon find himself holding down the Mike linebacker spot in Big D.
But first things first.
Before we could talk about Hitchens potentially entering the starting lineup, he would need to be signed and that is exactly what happened this weekend when he and the Cowboys agreed to a four-year contract. The news comes from Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
Last season at Iowa, Hitchens recorded 112 tackles, 13.5 tackles for losses, an interception and two forced fumbles.
If he can show that kind of production and awareness in the NFL it will be a welcomed sign for the Cowboys, but replacing Lee is not going to be easy and it is a tall task for any rookie.
