FC Tucson score crazy bicycle-kick goal (Video)

Have you ever heard of FC Tucson? It’s very understandable if you haven’t as they’re a semi-pro team that plays in the USL Premier Development League. Up until I saw this video I had no idea who they were either.

The USL PDL is the top-level of amateur soccer in the United States and is fourth highest league in the country behind the MLS, NASL, and USL Professional Division. It would essentially be the equivalent to a Low A  minor league baseball team.

The goal of the league is to develop young players and grow the sport in America. A large number of players in the league are actually NCAA soccer players who are looking to keep in shape and play competitive soccer during the offseason.

With it being such low-level competition, the league doesn’t get too much national attention, but that all changed this week. FC Tuscson were taking on BYU in the PDL Mountain Division the other night, when Odaine Sinclair scored one of the best bicycle-kick goals you will ever see.

FC Tucson send the ball into the box, and it is headed straight up into the air, but not out of the danger area. As it is on its way down, Sinclair steadies himself and prepares for the unimaginable.

Propelling himself into the air, he falls backwards, swinging his right foot towards the ball. And then in a scene that plays out only in movies and dreams, he made perfect contact, sending the ball screaming into the goal.

Maybe you didn’t know FC Tucson before this video, but I’m sure you won’t forget them any time soon.
