What's next for TUF Brazil 3 main card winners?

After a marathon day of mixed martial arts, the UFC has to figure out what is next for the fighters from the TUF Brazil 3 and UFC Fight Night 41 cards.

Both cards delivered exciting fights, highlights, and action from the early afternoon to the very end of the night.

In this article, we ponder what is next for the TUF Brazil 3 finale main card winners.

If you missed any of the fights, you can check out all of the play by play right here on FanSided. Here are the quick results from the main card:

  • Stipe Miocic def. Fabio Maldonado TKO Round 1 (0:35)
  • Antonio Carlos Jr. def. Vitor Miranda by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
  • Warlley Alves def. Marcio Alexandre Junior submission Round 3 (0:25)
  • Demian Maia def. Alexander Yakovlev by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
  • Robbie Peralta def. Rony Jason by split decision (29-28, 27-30, 30-27)

Stipe Miocic: This fight was easy pickings for Miocic as he dominated a small light heavyweight in Fabio Maldonado. Miocic did what he was supposed to do, and yet he still was very impressive.

Although the UFC does not match up fighters coming off a win and loss often, the time is right for Miocic to take on Travis Browne.

Antonio Carlos Junior: So the heavyweight tournament winner from TUF Brazil 3 will certainly not be fighting at heavyweight anymore, but the question becomes where does he land? Will he fight at 205, or 185 even? The more likely scenario is 205 and a solid first matchup would be with Hans Stringer or the returning Kyle Kingsbury.

Warlley Alves: Alves may have had the most impressive performance of the night, and Chael Sonnen has built a lot of hype around him as well. He could potentially drop down to welterweight, so it is a tough to name him an opponent.

If he stays at 185, a matchup with Derek Brunson would be fun. If he drops to 170, a matchup with John Howard would certainly be entertaining.

Demian Maia: Last night’s win was a strong performance from Maia, but it was not anything to write home about. In the end, he picked up the win and that is what matters most.

A fight with Ryan LaFlare sounds absolutely enthralling.

Robbie Peralta: Peralta picked up a big win over hometown favorite Rony Jason last night, and he really upped his stock in the featherweight division as he improved his winning streak to 2 straight.

A fight with Diego Brandao sounds very appealing.

They could also potentially book Max Holloway vs Robbie Peralta as that would be a great fight as well.
