Although the players in this series are much more concerned about the success, there are four former Finals MVP playing this series, including a two-time Finals MVP, Heat forward LeBron James and a three-time winner, Spurs’ power forward Tim Duncan.
James will be looking to become the first player to win three straight Finals MVP awards since former Los Angeles Lakers’ center Shaquille O’Neal did it from 2000-2002.
As expected, the MVP of the NBA Finals in each of the last two years, James, is the favorite to take home the award again. Duncan, the MVP in 1999, 2003 and 2005, is next on the list. He’s followed by the 2007 Finals MVP, Tony Parker and the 2006 MVP Dwyane Wade.
