22 Jump Street actor Jonah Hill was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night where he addressed the homophobic slur he made over the weekend that has found him in a firestorm of criticism.

Yesterday, actor Jonah Hill found himself in a firestorm of publicity; unfortunately, it wasn’t for his upcoming film 22 Jump Street where he stars opposite Channing Tatum.

Over the weekend, Jonah was out with a few of his friends in Los Angeles when he began to be followed by a number of photographers and cameramen.

Unfortunately, this is a normal occurrence when you live your life in the public eye.

After a few snide remarks from one of the photographers, Hill was visibly frustrated and upset. After the photog bid him a good day, Hill replied to him “Suck my d***, f*****.”

As soon as that clip hit the internet, a firestorm of criticism began heading his direction. He addressed his use of the homophobic slur on Howard Stern where he took full responsibility for the incident and profusely apologized for his actions.

On last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor took it one step further.

As some of you may already know, Jonah Hill has always been a very outspoken advocate for gay rights, so his choice of words is rather curious; however, after watching the video, it seems to me that he is very disappointed in himself for his actions and genuinely sorry for anyone that he may have affected.

He also encourages young kids who may be faced with a similar situation to the one that he was in over the weekend to stop and think about what they say and to not respond with hatred and anger.

What is your take on the situation? Do you feel like Jonah Hill is sincerely sorry for the comments he made? Furthermore, do you feel as if the entire situation has been somehow blown out of proportion? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
