The NBA Finals will tip off on Thursday night and it appears that the San Antonio Spurs will be as close to full strength as possible. There were doubts about whether or not guard Tony Parker would be able to play after suffering an in jury in Gam6 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma city Thunder, but all seems to be well.

What fans want to know is not if Parker will play but rather how effective will he be? Just having Parker on the court is great, but he needs to be making plays for the Spurs otherwise he might as well not even be playing.

According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, Parker himself is saying he’s healthy which is a great sign for Spurs fans and a welcomed claim to those hoping for another classic NBA Finals series between these two teams.

Having Parker back is huge for the Spurs, as they lost all of the games he missed in last year’s Finals and have struggled in big games without him.

But Parker has never been a player to force himself when he knows longevity is a factor and missing one game in a potentially seven game series isn’t that big of a deal. That’s why fans can be confident that he’s healthy and ready to go.
