It would certainly seem as if Corey Stoll is going to be one busy man this year. Not only does he have one of the major roles in the creepy new FX Original Series The Strain where he will be playing Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, but it was just announced that the actor will be joining the cast of the popular Showtime Original Series Homeland.
Also joining the cast of the thrilling drama is Bored to Death actress Laila Robbins to the cast.
Both Stoll and Robbins will have recurring roles in the upcoming season, which is set to premiere in October on Showtime.
Deadline has given fans a little perspective on what we can expect from the two newest members of the cast when the show finally kicks off for its fourth season.
“Robins will play Martha Boyd, the U.S. Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is professional and put together, with a ship-to-ship voice and personality to match. Stoll will play Sandy Bachman, the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan and a rising star in the agency’s firmament.”
While the series is certainly gaining a lot of star power with the additions of Stoll and Robbins, the series was never really lacking in that department. Homeland stars Claire Danes as CIA Officer Carrie Mathison, and Mandy Patinkin as her mentor Saul Berenson.
