This morning, whether by mistake or not, the PlayStation Store had a heck of a deal going.
For those who had never played Uncharted 3 before, it was a must. Sony had put the single player campaign of Uncharted 3 up on the PlayStation Store for the very low price of free. That’s right, free.
Uncharted 3 has long had a free to play multiplayer experience, but the single player game was still a standalone purchase. This morning, lucky, quick triggered gamers were able to cash in on the Naughty Dog title being put up for no cost. It appears however, that Sony has since removed the free single-player campaign for Uncharted 3 from the PlayStation Store.
Although Uncharted 3 is the latest and last release of the series on the PlayStation 3, nothing about the franchise should go unnoticed on the last-gen console. Naughty Dog did an exceptional job with each title of the series and has fans geared up for an E3 showing of Uncharted 4 on the PlayStation 4.
No matter what the case was with Uncharted 3 being free on the PlayStation Store this morning, those who cashed in on the offer should enjoy one heck of a story experience.
Ted’s Take: Although Uncharted 3 only made a very brief stay on the PlayStation Store for free, I would have to imagine, everyone and anyone who was able snatched it up. It may have been a mistake, or it may have been Naughty Dog and Sony getting the title some face time prior to its follow-up being unveiled on Monday at E3. Whatever the case, it’s a game that everyone should take time to enjoy!
