When a famous sports team from Los Angeles or New York ever does anything at all, there are usually famous faces in attendance to watch. Whether it be Jack Nicholson at the Lakers games, Billy Crystal at the Clippers games or whoever happen to be in either Chicago or New York at the time, big market games attract big market names to watch.
So now that we have both the Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup, it should come as absolutely no surprise that we are going to be seeing famous faces all over the place throughout the series. Our first batch of famous faces popped up in Game 1 and saw not only the likes of Larry David at the game but also comedian Will Ferrell, who is apparently a pretty bug Kings fan as it turns out.
It’s hard to say if the famous faces watching given game are actually fans or have been planted there for other reasons, but Ferrell has been open about his love of sports and even has gone as far as to have a regular spot on The Dan Patrick Show playing a crazed fan named Shea fro Irvine who calls in every so often with boneheaded sports takes he firmly stands behind.
Si it’s actually not that hard to believe that Ferrell is a Kings fan, but not everyone we will be seeing at these Stanley Cup Finals games are die hards who follow the teams.
