Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 skipping E3

Unfortunately for Square Enix fans, E3 is not going to be the most enticing show of the summer.

The publisher has two titles that are arguably more anticipated than anything they have put out in recent memory, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3. However, thanks to new information, neither of those titles will be making an appearance at E3.

Gaming site Famitsu recently had the opportunity to interview Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto.  He informed them that E3 won’t be the place that fans hear about Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Hearts 3 and that fans will have to wait a little longer for details.

It has been well documented that Square Enix is taking their time with Final Fantasy XV and the company won’t be releasing the game before it’s ready.

Final Fantasy XV has been in development for a considerable amount of time, and Square Enix has made gamers aware the game has a long development arc.  Kingdom Hearts 3 is newer information to gamers as the title was unveiled at E3 last year, giving games the sequel they desired.

Square Enix has long made a habit of being meticulous and taking their time with each product they work on.  While the approach is calculated, and in theory, cause for less risk, at times it backfires.  With the debacle of a release that the Final Fantasy series has previously seen, making gamers wait for considerable periods of time for anticipated games only heightens expectations.

This time around, everyone is hoping that regardless of their release date, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 deliver upon their promises.
