Brazil are the favorites to win the 2014 World Cup on their home turf. Their roster is loaded with talent at every position and headlined by superstar Neymar, who made the move from the Brazilian league to the super-club FC Barcelona last summer.
In a friendly against Serbia, Brazil showed off why they’re so talented in a less than usual way. Brazilian forward Fred chested the ball down at the edge of the box between two Serbian players.
An impressive task in itself, but not even the highlight of this play. After chesting the ball down and escaping the two players he slipped as the goal keeper came out to try and get the ball.
While sitting on his butt, in the box, Fred still managed to get a strike on the ball and put it in the back of the net. That is right, Fred scored a goal while sitting on his butt.
If two defenders can’t stop a player from getting the ball and then he scores while taking a break and sitting on his butt, the rest of the field better take notice. Now of course the goal came against Serbia, a team that isn’t competing in the 2014 World Cup and dealing with some heartache back home as their nation deals with the devastating flood.
But still, how often do you see something like this? Check it out below:
