The 2014 World Cup is right around the corner and we got a look at group B of the tournament. The following is a list of the teams in Group B:
It isn’t the toughest group in the tournament and Spain and the Netherlands will be the heavy favorites to advance from this group. you’d have to think Chile, who plays in the tough South American conference, would be a dark horse to unseat one of those two and make it to the round of 16.
Friday, June 13
3 p.m.: Spain vs. Netherlands at Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador (ESPN)
6 p.m.: Chile vs. Australia at Arena Pantanal, Cuiaba (ESPN2)
Wednesday, June 18
Noon: Australia vs. Netherlands at Estádio Beira-Rio, Porto Alegre (ESPN)
3 p.m.: Spain vs. Chile at Estadio do Maracana, Rio de Janeiro (ESPN)
Monday, June 23
Noon: Netherlands vs. Chile at Arena Corinthians, Sao Paulo (ESPN2)
Noon: Australia vs. Spain at Arena da Baixada, Curitiba (ESPN)
Two teams in the group will advance to the knock out round, or “round of 16,” and they’ll play in one of the following two games depending on whether they finished first in their group (1B) or second (2B).
