Many don’t like John Cena’s television character, but it’s nearly impossible to not respect the WWE superstar for his love of giving to those in need.
A northern Kentucky woman, Brittany Depew, tweeted out a photo, pleading with Cena to grant her wish, to meet John Cena. Depew is battling leukemia. The picture showed Depew on her hospital bed, clad in Cena gear, with a sign that said “My leukemia is past the stage of being cured, I love you John Cena.”
The photo went viral quickly, and Cena sent Depew a personalized video, congratulating her for graduating high school, as well as wishing her a 21st birthday by singing to her. Late last year, Depew was voted homecoming queen by her classmates, an event in which was covered by the local news.
Cena also tweeted regarding the situation this week as well.
Never take life for granted, it’s the greatest gift of all. Earn it. Enjoy it. Love it. Because your either living, or your dying.
