USA vs Nigeria live stream: Watch USMNT World Cup prep online

The United States is hosting Nigeria in their final World Cup warm up match before going to Brazil. It is an important match because it pits the USA against a Brazil bound team, but for another reason.

Because Nigeria is expected to play similarly to Ghana, giving the USA a benchmark for their game World Cup opening game against Ghana, a game many have deemed a must-win if the USA will have any chance of advancing out of the World Cup group stage.

“There are similarities in terms of their style of play, their individual talent,” head coach Jurgen Klinsmann said on Friday, via Fox Sports. “They’re very fit, they’re very physical — which is good for us because it will give us a little bit of a wake-up call. This is what at this point now we really need. It gives us a little bit of an indication of how to approach Ghana; how to beat Ghana, which is so crucial for us to start the World Cup with.”
