The College World Series field for this upcoming weekend is nearly set as just a few hours after the TCU Horned Frogs finished their three-game series with a win to head off to Omaha, the Virginia Cavaliers joined them as they won the third game of their series in dominating fashion to punch their ticket to Omaha and the World Series.

Throughout much of the season, the Cavaliers were considered the top team in the country, even coming into the season as the preseason number one team in many rankings, and they’ll now get the shot to validate that as they pursue the national championship.
