E3 2014: GTA V going next-gen


It was announced during Sony’s E3 media briefing on Monday night that Grand Theft Auto V was finally making its way to next-gen consoles on the PlayStation 4. Shortly after the conference ended, it was confirmed via Rockstar Games that not only will GTA V be coming to PS4, but it will also see release on PC and Xbox One later this year.

GTA V released originally on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2013, and has had fans clamoring for a next-gen version ever since. With the announcement of the game coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, the sales of GTA V should skyrocket even more than they already did on the last-gen consoles.

It was also announced that those who own the game on Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to transfer their GTA Online characters and profiles directly to the PS4 version of the game. Now release date has been announced, but Rockstar Games did confirm that it will be available this fall.
