It was expected, and EA Sports delivered on its promise to showcase Madden 15 in a big way during EA’s E3 2014 press conference on Monday. In addition to talking about the game’s new features, an in-depth look at the new gameplay was shown to fans.
The game looks incredible, and is definitely utilizing the power that the next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) can put out. The players look as detailed as ever, and the overall feel of the game looks to have changed because of the graphical changes.
Gameplay changes include a new tackle cone that allows users to make sure they are perfectly lined up with a player before going in for the stop. This will help players avoid seeing their tackle whiffed, or broken.
Madden 15 releases on August 26 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Mike’s Musings: It’s nice to see the team put a focus on the defensive side of the ball for once. The new defensive camera angle is nice, but I think most people have gotten so used to playing from the offense’s perspective that changing that camera depending on what side of the ball you’re on may be a bit too much for users. Then again, it may be a simple transition. It’s hard to tell until we can get our hands on it.
