EA Sports began the day releasing the first gameplay trailer for NHL 15 ahead of Electronic Arts’ E3 media briefing on Monday afternoon. Now, shortly after the conference concluded, EA Sports has announced when fans will be able to load up NHL 15 on consoles at their home.
The game will hit store shelves on September 9 in North America, and September 12 in Europe. It will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
“This is the start of a new era for the award-winning NHL videogame franchise,” said Dean Richards, General Manager, EA SPORTS NHL said in a press release. “New technology gives us the freedom and horsepower to change almost every part of the game. From the way players look and move on the ice, to the unrivaled electricity of the in-arena experience, to the sights and sounds of an all new broadcast team, NHL 15 brings the game we love to life in ways that were never possible before.”
NHL 15 will feature an overhaul to the game’s presentation, new puck and player physics, realistic crowds and arenas and all new gameplay on the series’ first entry into the next-generation of gaming on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Mike’s Musings: There still hasn’t been any announcement regarding new game modes or features coming to NHL 15, but fans shouldn’t worry just yet. More details are expected to come shortly after E3 wraps up, likely by the beginning of July.
