A new Extended Television Spot for the upcoming film Lucy shows Scarlett Johansson as the victim of a crime that unintentionally finds herself able to use more of the brain’s ability than the average person.
In just over two months, the new sci-fi action thriller Lucy will be unleashed on the world. Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait quite that long to get a peek inside of the new film.
Last week, the film was given a new release date which will see the film go head to head with both the epic Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson and the upcoming comedy Sex Tape starring How I Met Your Mother actor Jason Segel and The Other Woman’s Cameron Diaz.
Now, we have a look at an Extended TV Spot for the film that shows some of the things that the human brain could allow us to accomplish if we could only access the power of the mind.
As some of you may already know, life turns upside down for a young girl named Lucy after she is kidnapped, surgically implanted with a bag of a mystery drug, and forced to transport it for her captors.
Unfortunately, somewhere in the transit, the bag breaks and begins leaking into Lucy’s system.
Very quickly, she starts to notice changes, like her ability to write Chinese with absolutely zero previous knowledge of the language ad her ability to kick butt like a superhero.
Take a look for yourself. Here is a look at the Extended TV Spot for the upcoming film Lucy.
Lucy is both written and directed by director Luc Besson, the man responsible for films like The Family, The Fifth Element, and The Professional.
In addition to Scarlett Johansson, the film stars Analeigh Tipton, Min-sik Choy, Amr Waked, Morgan Freeman, and many more.
Lucy is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2014.
