Snoop Dogg raps with Psy while wearing Hartford Whalers sweater (Video)

It looks like Korean one-hit-wonder Psy – he of Gangnam Style fame, for those who have blocked out the summer of 2012 – is ready to return to the scene. It also looks like Snoop Dogg has been doing his clothes shopping at Hipster Alley. Oh my God ironic Hartford Whalers gear, thank you for helping to mainstream that trend, Snoop.

I guess Psy and Snoop have a song out this summer? It’s called “Hangover.” They appeared together on Jimmy Kimmel to promote this track of theirs. Rapping and dancing ensued. Or whatever this is.

They also busted out Snoop’s old classic “What’s My Name?”

Snoop generally is a positive figure on the pop culture landscape but I have to take issue with him here. One, he’s doing the Hartford Whalers thing, which is a hipster bit and therefore completely irritating. Two, he’s helping to dig Psy out of the pop culture dumpster where he’s rightfully been languishing since Gangnam Style hit a billion views.

Why are you doing this Snoop? Why are you spending some of your precious pop culture capital on helping Psy? This does not reflect well on you, Snoop. Smoke another bowl and think about it buddy. If you’re just being ironic…well, in a way that’s worse. I don’t want ironic Snoop. I like my Snoop well-baked and irony free.
