Mexico almost missed out on playing in the 2014 World Cup and needed some late goals from the United States to get into a playoff game. Then they beat New Zealand convincingly in a home-and-home playoff with an aggregate scoreline of 9-3, punching their ticket to Brazil.
Mexico opened their string of pre-World Cup friendlies with two wins, a 3-0 win over Israel and a 3-1 win over Ecuador. Their last two games didn’t go as well losing 0-1 to Bosnia-Herzegovina and 0-1 to a strong Portugal team.

Monday, June 23
4 p.m.: Croatia vs. Mexico at Arena Pernambuco, Recife (ESPN / Univision)
Now should they advance to the knockout rounds, and round of 16, they would play in one of these two games depending on where they finished first or second in the group.

Sunday, June 29
Noon: 1B vs. 2A at Estadio Castelao, Fortaleza (ESPN)
