ESPN's new 'I Believe' ad and American Outlaws tribute

Back in April, ESPN released a chilling ad for the 2014 World Cup about the American Outlaws, the United States men’s national team supporters club, and they’re song “I Believe.” It is a call and response song that begins with “I believe” and builds to “I believe that we will win” a word at a time.

If you missed it, you can get caught up really quickly right here:

That commercial was wildly popular and well received, and just days before the start of the World Cup and less than a week from the USMNT’s first game, ESPN has released yet another “I Believe” ad honoring the American Outlaws.

This one is a little bit different and definitely more star-studded. It features athletes like Pittsburgh Pirates’ Andrew McCutchen, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, and former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders. It also includes actors Jon Hamm, Whoopi Goldberg Kevin Costner, as well as, late night host Jimmy Kimmel, whose show is on ABC, ESPN’s sister network, makes an appearance. Rapper Ice Cube makes an appearance as well.

Hope Solo and Abby Wambach of the women’s national team also join in the singing in the video.
