World Cup 2014: Mexico's bus breaks down, team crams into taxis

Sometimes things just don’t go your way, and Mexico’s national team was having one of those days in Brazil. The Mexicans were training for their first game, just days away, when their team bus broke down.

Team captain Rafael Marquez tweeted “off to training by taxi” and added a photo of himself with teammates Alfredo Talavera, Hector Herrera and Marco Fabian in the cab. An interesting way to get to practice but that is all that matters.

It makes you wonder who was bringing their wallet to training and who was going to pick up the cab fare. Likely some coach or staff member picked up the tab when they got their cause I don’t think that you’d bring your wallet to training. It wasn’t a long ride, the team hotel is roughly a mile away from the training grounds.

The Mexican national team’s Twitter account tweeted out a photo of players arriving by taxi as well.

The Mexican national team’s Twitter account later tweeted that the bus had been repaired and was able to take the team back to the hotel, now lets just hope it doesn’t break down again or these cab fare bills can start adding up.
