The San Francisco Giants may need to start having a Whaambulance on retainer after Monday’s game. A kid sitting along the first base line made a move for a ground rule double that bounced his way, but of course he’s a kid so he botched the whole thing and took a baseball to the knee. As seen below, per SB Nation, after taking a baseball to the knee the tears started flowing like champagne in a World Series winning locker room.

The man who wound up getting the foul ball handed it over the kid as he was being attended to. Think of it from the perspective of the generous guy who yielded the ball to the young fan. First, this guy brings a glove to his seat. Clearly he wants a foul ball himself. Then he’s lucky enough to actually get one. He had maybe a 1 in 10,000 chance of getting one, but there it is! He got one. Mission accomplished.

Still, he did the kind thing and handed the ball over to the kid who was writhing in pain to try and make his day better. Hopefully this kids parents bought the man who handed over the baseball a beer or two for his gesture.

Some say the kid might have also embellished his “injury” in an effort to get the ball and there seems to be a lot of acting on his part. After being handed the baseball he was magically healed like that spray they use on critically injured soccer players who can’t even stand only to return to normal playing form afterwards.
