One of the more interesting titles that will release this year by Ubisoft is Far Cry 4. This title will have players in a mountain region known as Kyrat.

Ubisoft revealed more information about the game with a trailer that featured a guy called Pagan Min. It’s still not known if he’s a villain, or just someone that likes to play mind tricks.

The Executive Producer for the game, who is Dan Hay spoke about Pagan Min on the Ubiblog.

He is a character that has plenty of depth to him, and nothing about him is predictable. The self-appointed ruler of Kyrat escaped from his underworld roots, took on a new identity, and set his sights on the nearby failed state of Kyrat.

He does draw some comparisons to Vaas from Far Cry 3, but aside from being on the cover art in each game, the two characters are polar opposites.

Vass was more forceful in his approach, while Pagan Min has a subtle charm.

The Narrative Director who is Mark Thompson says this:

It’s this weird, uncomfortable refined elegance. “The things that he’s doing and the subjects that he’s talking about contrast with the style that he does it in.”

It seems that Pagan Min is a character that has more beneath the surface, and it will be up to players to decide how they choose to interact with him.
