We hear about celebrities feuding all the time but we rarely ever care that much unless it’s something significant. It’s hard to judge just what this feud between Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant and rapper The Game is all about but it’s something that is causing a bit of a storm in The Game’s camp.

More from Kevin Durant

As the story goes, The Game made a bet with Durant that if he made an NBA range three-pointer, Durant would have to donate $20,000 worth of shoes to The Game’s youth basketball program. After the shot was made though, the rapper is claiming that Durant backed out of the bet.

"Bet Kevin Durant a.k.a. @EasyMoneySniper $20,000 that he’d have to donate to the @froggallstars & play wit #LaFamilia in the #DrewLeague if I made an NBA 3 pointer all net & my hittas @jharden13@Demar_Derozan & @ChampagnePapi was right there to witness it all… I guess that’s that ! KD must ain’t get the memo."

It’s hard to say if this was one of those bets where you’re just throwing out a number to put emphasis on the shot or if there was actually a bet for $20,000 made between the two. Both are entirely possible but either way it’s hard to believe that Durant would back out of a bet when it came to charity being involved.

Durant is notably one of the most charitable players in the NBA, but he’s clearly not going to just give his money away. We have to remember the expenses Durant has in life, from his lifestyle to taxes to the people who work for him and everything in between. $20,000 seems like it’s nothing for a multimillionaire but Durant is playing it safe with his fiances, even if it apparently means stiffing a charity he may or may not have made a bet about.

Then again, The Game made a pretty standard three point shot, it’s not like he made the shot by way of giving birth to it. That would likely warrant $20,000, not so much a standard three just about anyone can make at the gym.
