Just in time for the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the folks at Gatorade have unveiled a new ad campaign that “celebrates what athletes sacrifice in sweat, and what Gatorade helps them replace.”
Staring in the ad are notable athletes including Usain Bolt, Brazilian soccer star David Luiz, Lionel Messi and his FC Barcelona teammates.
Gatorade’s goal was that “the ad embodies the idea that with every brutal practice, lonely workout, hard win or loss, athletes leave a little piece of themselves behind, saying ‘I was here, and I gave it my all.’”
Remember, Gatorade also did an entertaining ad where they researched whether or not Luiz’s flowing mop on his head actually causes him to sweat more and dehydrate faster than fellow soccer players. You can see the result here.
