The center of attention, at least as far as the NBA Draft is concerned, over the last few days has been former Kentucky Wildcats’ power forward Julius Randle.

More from NBA

On Thursday, a report surfaced that Randle had a lingering foot problem that didn’t heal correctly and he would need surgery to correct the problem. Both Randle and his mother have denied the reports.

If teams do find a problem, Randle’s stock will obviously drop.

Randle and his mother have defended Randle by discussing all of the workouts he has been through. On Friday, Randle, along with former Oklahoma State Cowboys’ point guard, former Michigan State Spartans’ guard Gary Harris, former Michigan Wolverines’ swingman Nik Stauskas and former UCLA Bruins’ star Zach LaVine, worked out for the Celtics on Friday.

After the workout Friday, Randle again denied the injury.

Randle is ranked as the draft’s fourth-best prospect according  by Jonathan Givony of Draft Express . Randle, who measured in at 6’9″ and 250 pounds with a wingspan of 7’0″ at the NBA’s Scouting Combine, put up 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 50.0% from the field and 70.6% from the charity stripe.
