Check out Luke Evans as Vlad Tepes in new poster for Dracula Untold

Earlier today, we showed you a new international poster for the upcoming film Dracula Untold that gave us one of our first looks at The Hobbit’s Luke Evans as Vlad Tepes. Now, we have a look at the domestic poster for the film which gives us an even closer look at the film’s star.

As I said before, Evans will be playing the role of Vlad Tepes, otherwise known as the man who would become Dracula.

As of right now, there are not a lot of plot details known about the upcoming film other than the film is to serve as an origin story for one of horror’s most iconic names.

From the looks of the new poster, there will be plenty of death and destruction to go around. This falls into line with the history of the real Vlad Tepes that lived back in the 1400’s who became known as Vlad the Impaler for his tendency to put leave his enemies impaled on pikes.

It will certainly see if they plan to leave this as a period piece or put a slightly more modern spin on it; however, if they are planning on the film being an origin story, one would believe they would want to stick with what people have come to know and in some cases love about the character.
