Guillermo Ochoa’s remarkable game leads to amazing meme

Tuesday was a big day in the 2014 World Cup. Host country Brazil sat atop the Group A table with three points and were playing Mexico, who also had three points. It was a big game and it lived up to the hype in a thrilling 0-0 draw.

It was a big result for Mexico, but a disappointing result for the Brazilians. Both teams generated offense and there was an incredible back and forth. Both goal keepers stood on their heads making saves and keeping their respective sides in the game.

The biggest standout of them all might have been Mexican goal keeper Guillermo Ochoa who made highlight reel worthy save after highlight reel worth top play. There was even one particularly close shot from Brazilian superstar Neymar he some how managed to save, which was verified thanks to goal line technology.

That led to some hilarious memes, but maybe none more hilarious than this one below.

It references the Lord of the Rings movies, specifically a scene when Gandalf stands before the Balrog and says “You shall not pass.” Someone did some editing to make Ochoa look more like Gandalf.
