Urijah Faber and full contact skydiving (Video)

Former WEC featherweight champion and current UFC bantamweight contender Urijah Faber is preparing for his UFC 175 battle against Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres next month. During his off-time, however, Faber is dedicating his time to a brand new sport that is on the rise: Full Contact Skydiving.

Yes, you read that correctly. Faber is using his mixed martial arts expertise to help up and coming skydiving aficionados learn the ropes of MMA. The twist is that competitors will not be fighting in a cage, but they will be fighting while skydiving from a plane.

What compliments MMA and fisticuffs better than jumping out of a plane? You would be hard pressed to find a better fit than that. Check out the promo video for the brand new sport below:

Faber said it best, Full Contact Skydiving is a “savage ballet”.

Okay, so obviously this entire thing is a joke, and there is no actual FCS league or anyone that actually fights while skydiving, but their dedication to the prank is absolutely hilarious. The video is full of jokes related to MMA that poke fun at the sport.

If you are interested in learning more about FCS, they actually created a website describing the sport’s techniques such as Skuay Tai and skyjitsu. Will you be the next great FCS fighter?
