Monday night on RAW, the participant list for the ladder match to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank was set as both Roman Reigns and John Cena qualified. However, that still left people wondering whether or not there would be a traditional ladder match for the briefcase.
Well, according to WrestleZone, there indeed will be, and none other than Seth Rollins made the announcement not only for the match, but that he will also be the first entrant.
Seth Rollins – formerly of the Shield – made a huge announcement tonight, live on WWE Main Event, exclusively on the WWE Network. At the annual Money in the Bank PPV later this month, in addition to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ladder match, there will be a second, traditional Money in the Bank ladder match for a contract. As per tradition, the contract will earn the winner a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at any point in the next year.
We all kind of saw this coming, however with the event less than two weeks out, we were coming down to crunch time for the actual announcement, but they finally made it.
As for the rest of the participants joining Rollins, that will be determined on the RAW and Smackdown episodes still to come prior to the event.
Of course, with the push that he’s been receiving lately, you have to think that Rollins is the favorite to win this one and carry the briefcase around for a bit to add further to his heel turn.
But, you never know. Who do you think will win the second match? Let us know in the comments below.
