The Wisconsin Badgers have been on a roll on the recruiting trail.

More from College

On Saturday, 2-star inside linebacker Chris Orr gave his pledge to the Badgers. Then, on Sunday, 4-star defensive end Nate Howard, 3-star wide receiver Brandyn Lee and 3-star offensive tackle Sam Madden, along with Howard, pledged to the Badgers.

On Wednesday, the Badgers added their 15th-commitment in the class of 2015 when 4-star quarterback/athlete David Edwards gave his pledge to the Badgers.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am to be part of this class and Wisconsin football,” Edwards said. “Great tradition and unbelievable tradition at the tight end position. I’m glad to be part of that.”

Edwards was in Wisconsin over the weekend for an unofficial visit and that visit obviously helped seal the deal.

“Sitting down with Coach (Andy) Ludwig and having a nice chat with Coach (TJ) Woods on my visit on Saturday night kind of sealed it,” Edwards recapped. “I really felt it was the best fit for me as a tight end, athlete and person.

“I really enjoyed my time there. I love the coaches and I truly felt it was the best fit.”

The 6’6, 225-pound Edwards is from Downers Grove, Illinois and attends Community High School District 99: North High School. Edwards is ranked as the 28th-best athlete prospect in the country, the fifth-best overall prospect from the state of Illinois and the 306th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Edwards is projected to play tight end and wide receiver at Wisconsin.

He also holds offers from Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones, among others.
