The Daily Snark brings us a thoroughly enjoyable video of basketball superstar Kobe Bryant playing a little soccer at the World Cup in Rio. With his hat on backward. Because that’s how the kids dress when they play soccer.

Kobe is of course a noted soccer fan, known for his strong takes on the USMNT and their controversial coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

This particular Rio soccer venue appears to be some kind of cage that, when it’s not being used for soccer, is possibly used for cockfights. And drug cartel beheadings.

Kind of a weird, random place for Kobe to be showing up, but then again it is the offseason. A man has to relax somehow. Kobe relaxes by putting the hat on backward and challenging some Rio street kids to a game of cage soccer. Gosh, I hope he doesn’t get kidnapped and ransomed.

Just kidding, that’s a totally unfair stereotype. Brazil is completely safe and not at all filled with kidnappers and murderers. The media have blown that aspect of Brazilian life totally out of proportion.

And their World Cup stadiums aren’t harrowing deathtraps constructed by shady contractors using substandard materials. At all.
